Sponsor a child
"Sponsor A Child Programme" is initiated to encourage financially weak parents to send their children to school so that they dont have to force their children to quit school due to financial reason.
Any one can sponsor a child by donating Nepalese Rs. 1500.00 (20.00 US$) and Nepalese Rs. 2000.00 (25.00 US$) for one academic year of class 1-5 and of class 6-10 respectively. The money will be spent on children's school dress, stationery items and other school expenses. Donor will be provided family detail and photo of the child . The progress report will be provided thrice a year after receiving reports of exam from the school. Donor can meet the child any time if the donor wishes to do so.
The programme is coordinated by Hatemalo Vanasthali, a non profitable organization formed by the 1983 SLC batch students of Siddhartha Vanasthali School,Balaju, Kathmandu, Nepal. Mr. Sonam Shakya, Mr. Biplav Man Singh and Mr. Navin Govind Shrestha are President, Vice President and General Secretary of the organization respectively.
For academic year 2070 B.S. (2013/014 A.D.), 26 girls and 6 boys of class 1-8 have been sponsored . They are from various schools of Tansen Municipality and Barangdi V.D.C. of Palpa district and from Chhekampar, Gorkha district.
